Welcome, Murano Island

VERTICE

Vertice Collezione

Design by Luigi Mandruzzato

Inspired by the advances of the first world war, the United States was the country whose music, literature, and lifestyle made it synonymous with modernity in the eyes of the world. As a tribute to all these symbols, Luigi Mandruzzato called this Patron Art Deco “America.” And together with his father Beniamino Mandruzzato, he decided to venture into the improvement of the Moleria technique by incorporating simple forms, such as rectangles and squares, thus creating fascinating light and shadows while maintaining the painting style. Since his father was the seventh generation of Murano glass painters, he decided to investigate new styles, discovering the old technique of Moleria in Murano glass and making  ceiling lamps, vases, ashtrays, and lighters filled with angular cornets, beveled edges, and pure lines into designs inspired by the architecture of the thirties.

Today, Alessandro Mandruzzato blends Art Deco America designs with the stylized forms of the Mandruzzato family in the Vertice Collection.
